I just keep watching Rock in Rio because he is just mighty and powerful on stage and thats how i want to see him, Unplugged makes me weep sometimes but the songs are sang just to beautifully to ignore, i have footage of the concert he did in 96 supporting Kiss in July 96 and even though it's not brilliant footage it breaks my heart because his voice is shaky in some parts and he is so thin and holding on to the mic throughout the show it's sad to watch, The Alice in Chains Live album you can actually hear the difference in his voice the first half of the album is took in 90-93 then you have the last half being recorded live in 96 and the difference is all too obviousYou know he had fake teeth right? He had dentures early on the top, he was losing them early from all the drugs and shit. I agree he is very thin and a shadow of the Layne we know and love but i think he still would have his teeth at this time, As his last performances were 1996 which are the Unplugged and supporting Kiss year he still had his teeth so the one above him on stage he will have had teeth and i think even the one with Mike he has them, he only had little teeth anyway and it's like on Unplugged for most of the show you'd think he had no top teeth but he has, i'd say he would have lost his teeth in the very latter years of his life maybe 99 onwards,(which would be why he could not be shown in Class 99 video and the Get Born Again video none of the band appear ) the pic i put up where he looks very old and thin you can still see his teeth and i'm sure that pic was took way after any of these because the condition of him in that one is the worst ever, in fact he reminded me of my mates brother who i hadnt seen for a few years was a healthy goodlooking guy and when i saw him a few years later he was like 35 and looked 70 because of the addiction to heroin and the picture of Layne reminds me of how my mates brother looked. Ugh I don't know why I do this to myself.
